Short Review: 
Very smooth combo for trout fishing in lakes and streams

Detailed Review:
After a 30 year hiatus, I am getting back into fishing with my son.  Growing up not far from lakes and streams, we did a lot of rainbow trout fishing.  Thankfully, I live now with my family about 20 minutes away from great lake and stream fishing.    We recently got this Pflueger Monarch Spinning Combo rod and reel, it is just  what we need for recreational trout (and sunfish, see below) fishing.   We paid about $45 for this locally.  It doesn't come with line;  so you are going to have to take this to your local sporting goods store, unless you want to buy a decent fishing line spooler, which range from about $12 to about $40.  Anyhoo, I digress...  I can't emphasize it enough that is a smooth operator, pick it up in a store if you can, you will feel the difference.
